How to Ban and Unban a Guest


There are two ways you can ban a guest in your Vēmos account:

  1. Through the Vēmos ID Scan app if it’s a same-day ban
  2. Through the Vēmos dashboard if you’re banning someone you scanned more than a day ago

Banning a Guest in Real Time

  1. Scan the guest's ID
  2. Tap Ban — displayed in red
  3. Select a reason for the ban and add any internal notes for your staff
  4. Optionally adjust the ban duration — defaults to permanent if left unchanged

If you need to ban a guest who had been scanned earlier that same day, you can still do this through the Vēmos ID Scan app.

  1. Go to Day History in the bottom toolbar
  2. Search for the guest name
  3. Click the ban icon 🚫
  4. Select a reason for the ban and add any internal notes for your staff
  5. Optionally adjust the ban duration

Remember, the app only contains data for the day while the dashboard contains all historical data.


Reviewing or Unbanning a Previously Banned Guest

You can also manage your ban list from the Vēmos ID Scan app. Follow these steps to review details or unban a guest within the app:

  1. Navigate to the Ban List tab in the bottom toolbar
  2. Search for the guest name
  3. From here you can review the ban reason, internal notes, or remove the ban
